Welcome

Thank you for your interest in our team.  Acceleration is a parent run program, run by parents and a board of directors.  We are all dedicated to the welfare of our children and to the success of the team as a whole.  First of all, everyone is welcome.  Twirlers of all abilities can play a meaningful part on the team.  After all, that is what the team experience is all about: helping one another, dedication and not letting down teammates, camaraderie and getting along with others.  Our athletes learn these skills and more while being physically fit and boasting self esteem through personal achievement.

Coach Corey Kinyon-Cruz

Corey has been twirling for most of her life! She started at age six, and joined The Blue Devil Baton Corps when she was nine. The Blue Devil teams and Corps were very successful, the most prestigous titles were two World Team Championship wins in Milan, Italy (1983) and Alberta, Canada (1984.) Individually she captured several State and Regional Strut and Dance Twirl championships, but her highest honor was winning the  "silver boot" as the 1980 Grand National Strut Champion.

Corey has been coaching since she was 16! She has taught all levels of baton and colorguard. She has coached several State, Regional and National Champions.  She has worked with the Syndication team since 1988, and had the honor of seeing them win the 1993 World Championships, and then the 2005 World Championships!
